Where to stay

Historic Centre: stay in the heart of Málaga

by Casa Ivy Group

Symmetrical view down Calle Marqués de Larios, Málaga's marble pedestrian shopping street, in warm afternoon light
Calle Larios — the marble spine of central Málaga.

The historic centre is Málaga at its most cinematic — marble-paved lanes, the cathedral towers in the skyline, and the buzz of Calle Larios just outside your door.

Why stay here

  • Everything is on foot: the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral, the Alcazaba, Mercado Atarazanas and the port are all 5–15 minutes away.
  • Best concentration of restaurants, wine bars and rooftop terraces in the city.
  • The most "Málaga" feeling — golden stone, palm trees, and the rhythm of a southern Spanish capital.

Who it suits

Couples, first-time visitors, and anyone who wants to step out of the door and be inside the action immediately. If you only have 2–3 days in Málaga, this is where to be.

Good to know

  • Some streets are pedestrianised — taxis drop you on the edge and you walk in.
  • It's a lively neighbourhood at night; light sleepers should ask for a courtyard-facing room.
  • 15 minutes on foot to La Malagueta beach.

Casa Ivy stays are steps from Mercado Atarazanas and the Cathedral, with quiet interiors, a curated welcome basket, and the attentive, personal service we're known for — hospitality is what we do best.
